MARKETIA WHITE | Program Director

Marketia White, MPA serves as the Program Director for The “I Have A Dream” Foundation - Atlanta Chapter, and is also the Founding Executive Director of a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Mommies in the D, dedicated to empowering young mothers in their pursuit of personal and parental achievements. With a robust background in teaching and nonprofit leadership, Marketia has approached her work with a servant's heart. Her passion lies in advocating for students' empowerment and narrowing the educational and socio-economic disparities within the African American community, specifically among marginalized communities.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Marketia earned her Masters of Public Administration from Central Michigan University, enriching her expertise in nonprofit management. Her advocacy extends through her active community engagement, financial development efforts, forging partnerships, data evaluation, and participating in speaking engagements. These initiatives primarily support her partnering work in maternal health education with organizations such as W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Morehouse School of Medicine, University of Michigan, Walmart, United Way, Nurse Family Partnership. She is no stranger to hard work or the ability to jump in where most needed, creating a strong organizational culture for system sustainability. Additionally, Marketia enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking and kayaking and relaxing with family and friends.
